Victory for Conservative campaign on Family Farm Tax as government makes partial climbdown
Conservative Party leader Kemi Badenoch insisted the " fight is not finished " after the government made a partial climbdown on the Family Farm tax following 14 months of regular protests by farmers outside Parliament. The threshold for IHT on family farms will now be raised from £1 million to £2.5 million. Kemi said: "This is a huge U-turn by the government and a big win for the Conservative Party's campaign against Labour's Family Farm Tax." "Earlier this year, I was told to drop our campaign, that there weren't many votes in it, there weren't many farmers, and people assumed they were wealthy enough to cope anyway.
