Giving young people more opportunity to study abroad
This weekend the government announced £105 million in new funding as part of our Turing Scheme, giving young people more opportunities to study or work abroad.
- £105 million in new taxpayer funding has been committed by the Conservative Government giving young people the opportunity to work or study in over 160 destinations across the world.
- As part of the Turing Scheme, disadvantaged students are set to take up two thirds of the study and work abroad opportunities available to UK students from September, thanks to the extra funding for universities, colleges, and schools.
- More applications were successful this year than ever before, with over 40,000 people across the UK getting the opportunity to gain new skills and experiences through studying or working abroad in the next academic year.
