Investment in action to protect out climate

Today the UK government convened a meeting with leading financiers and philanthropists to unlock private investment in climate action, delivering on the Conservative promise to grow the economy, boost energy security, and cut bills.

  • No government can tackle climate change alone. We need to work with our allies and unlock trillions in private investment to accelerate net zero and boost our energy security.
  • That is why, in partnership with our US allies, we are convening leading figures in finance and philanthropy to accelerate net zero and energy security. Using world-leading expertise and private investment, we will support emerging economies to strengthen their climate resilience and boost our energy security at home.
  • Today's meeting was not just about cutting emissions, it was part of an ambition to achieve a secure, home-grown energy system that will grow the economy, create jobs, and cut bills for the British people.
