The Hindu manifesto 2024

As I posted yesterday, earlier that evening I took part in the second hustings of the campaign in Leeds North East, which was organised by the local Hindu community.

This was the first time such a hustings has been organised by the Hindu community. It was well attended by local residents. There ere a lot of questions to the candidates present all of which were polite, respectful, and friendly, and the event was a credit to the organisers and the community.

Hindus for Democracy have prepared an excellent manifesto addressing issues affecting the Hindu Community, which you can find at the link below:

Hindus for Democracy - - United Kingdom

This contains a whole series of very reasonable and sensible proposals and as I promised at the hustings I am happy to endorse it. So have a substantial number of other Conservative candidates and candidates from other mainstream parties.

In particular, if elected I promise to work against all forms of hatred and discrimination, including anti-Hindu prejudice. And here in Leeds I will help work with the community and local councillors to find a solution to the problem of addressing the needs of the Hindu and Sikh communities for an appropriate and approved place to scatter ashes in accordance with their burial customs.
